Qaidi (1957)

QAIDI-1957 was an Eagle film production, produced by F.C.Mehra. The MD was O P Nayyar and her his assitants were G.S.Kohli and Sebastian.

Young and handsome Murad(Suresh) loves dancer Laila(Ragini). Her greedy father Jasbir(Kamal Mohan) takes her away from him to the kingdom of Samrana. Murad also follows them.

The villainous Prime Minister of the kingdom and cousin of the crown prince Anwar(Anwar Hussain) has kidnapped the prince before his coronation to become king himself. The prince is believed to be murdered. But the Loyal Vazir(Kumar) with his friends Abdul(Agha) and Shiraji(Kamal Mehra) starts searching for the prince. They meet Murad and find that he resembles the Prince 100%.They and Laila convince him and he enters as the prince.

He is coronated as King but soon Anwar eveals his real identity and puts him in Jail.Laila and others rescue him and it is revealed that he really is the real Prince.Anwar is now behind the bars and Prince and Laila are happily married.

Qaidi No. 911 (1959)

QAIDI NO. 911-1959 was actually a very entertaining film, plus it had very good songs by Dattaram. Still it did not do very well, though it was not a failure.

Baiju, an honest man loves his motherless only child very much, but the child is kidnapped and as a ransom for his release, he is asked to divert the route of the cash van he was to drive. Compelled by love Baiju (Shaikh Mukhtar) agrees and diverts the route. The cash is stolen. Police arrive and start chasing the robbers. The robbers die in a road accident, but the cash disappears and is not traced. Birju is arrested and sentenced to 7 years rigorous imprisonment. Unfortunately his child also dies.

In the jail, Baiju loved Guddu, the Jail Superintendent’s son just like his own son, doing all his work. Shambhu, a hardcore criminal escapes from the jail, taking Guddu with him. Baiju requests the Superintendent to leave him free for just two days in which he will come back with Guddu, but the Superintendent does not agree.

Baiju breaks jail, follows Shambhu, gets Guddu back after lot of suspense, fighting and thrills. The missing cash is also traced. The police appreciate his work and finally he is released from the jail, only to remain inside only to be with Guddu.
